BACOLOD City – A man was stabbed to death by his son, who was allegedly drug-dependent, yesterday morning in Purok Hardin, Doña Juliana Subdivision, Barangay Taculing.
Romeo Jambo Jr., 53, was sleeping inside his room when the incident happened. He sustained a stab wound on his chest and was rushed to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Police Chief Inspector Charles Gever identified the suspect as Reynaldo Jambo, 33. He was brought to Police Station 6 custodial jail.
The suspect told investigators that he conducted an “Oplan Tokhang” against his father who was sleeping at the time.
Residents in the area disclosed that the suspect is a known drug-dependent./PN
