ILOILO City – Two motorcycles collided in Barangay Poblacion B, Dueñas, Iloilo. Both their drivers died.
The 19-year-old John Larida was a Grade 11 student of Dueñas General Comprehensive High School. He was a resident of Barangay Purog, Dueñas.
The other dead motorist was 30-year-old Jimmy Cerbolles of Barangay Malitbog Centro, Calinog.
The two men died before reaching the nearest hospital in Passi City.
The collision happened around 8:40 p.m. on Feb. 26, according to Senior Inspector Felix Alianza Jr., Dueñas police chief.
Larida was driving a black Kawasaki Bajah motorcycle while Cerbolles had a Racal.
“Larida was headed to Passi City while Cerbolles was bound for Dueñas,” said Alianza.
The collision happened on a blind curve of the national highway. Alianza said both were driving fast.
“The area was well-lighted but accident-prone,” said Alianza./PN
