BACOLOD City – He was hiding from the police for about 30 years.
The 72-year-old Carlos Bilbar of Barangay Daga, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental was caught around 9:45 a.m. on Jan. 13, police said.
His apprehension was staged on the strength of an arrest warrant in relation to an arson charge Bilbar faces, the police added.
Judge Adelino Ledesma of the Regional Trial Court Branch 60 of Cadiz City issued the warrant dated Sept. 5, 1990.
The suspect was detained in the lockup facility of the Cadiz City police station.
The court recommended a P20,000 bail bond for Bilbar’s temporary liberty./PN
