THE 74th Miss Universe pageant is set to take place in Thailand in November, but Philippine bet Ahtisa Manalo will fly to the neighboring country two months ahead of the competition.
The reigning Miss Universe Philippines titleholder is bound for Bangkok this month, before most of her fellow candidates are scheduled to arrive for the international pageant.
But Manalo’s visit in Thailand will not be for her contest. She is instead scheduled to take on the stage of the 2025 Mister International competition which will be mounted in the Southeast Asian country this September.
The delegates are now starting to arrive in Bangkok for the 17th edition of the international male tilt, and the organizers have announced that the Filipino beauty queen will be one of the presenters for the final competition.
The Mister International competition noted that Manalo was also first runner-up in the 2018 Miss International pageant. And although they share the word “International,” the Japan-based major global beauty contest is organized by a different team.
Manalo will share hosting chores with Thai presenter Bank Anusith Sangnimnuan, who hosted last year’s edition of the Mister International contest that also took place in Thailand.
German-Filipino model and content creator Kirk Bondad will represent the Philippines in the international competition. He previously competed in the Mister World contest last year and entered the semifinals.
The 2025 Mister International competition’s finale show will be held at the MCC Hall of The Mall Lifestore Ngamwongwan in Nonthanburi on Sept. 25. (Armin P. Adina © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
