ILOILO City – Eight sachets of suspected shabu were seized from a resident of NHA (National Housing Authority) Village in Barangay San Antonio, Ajuy, Iloilo.

The 41-year-old Timoteo Biron was arrested and detained at the municipal police station.

Biron sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer for P500 at around 7:50 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the NHA Village, a police report showed.

Seven more sachets of the same substance were seized from him, along with a disposable lighter and a black pouch, among others.

Police said the recovered suspected shabu had an estimated street value of P4,000.

Biron was facing charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
