ILOILO City – Another housemaid in La Paz district was accused of stealing valuables from her employer.
Police were still looking for the 22-year-old Riza Mae Secobia of Sara, Iloilo.
Her boss, 40-year-old Rehena Badolis, told the police Secobia left their house without asking permission.
Badolis was a resident of Barangay Calapawan, Panay, Capiz but temporarily staying in Barangay Jereos, La Paz.
She complained to the police that she woke up around 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 1 to find some of her belongings missing.
Her gray Apple iPod Mini placed on a television rack and her white Samsung Galaxy Y smartphone placed at the kitchen were gone.
The blue Jansport bag in the house help’s quarters was missing, too, a police report showed.
Badolis suspected that Secobia took them.
On the same day, a housemaid in Barangay Divinagracia, La Paz was arrested for allegedly stealing her employer’s money and personal belongings.
Charlene Malanay, a 28-year-old native of Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, was detained at the district police station./PN
