ANTIQUE – The Antique Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), under the leadership of Gov. Paolo S. Javier and PDRRMO head Broderick G. Train, continues to strengthen youth empowerment, disaster preparedness, and community resilience through its flagship initiative, the Bridging Organization through Youth Empowerment and Transformation (BOYET) Program.
The BOYET Program encourages young Antiqueños to actively participate in community service and humanitarian action, developing them into productive, compassionate, and resilient citizens. Beyond being a training initiative, BOYET fosters leadership, civic responsibility, and skills in disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM), community preparedness, and humanitarian response.
Through this program, the Office of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (OPDRRMO) invests in the next generation, ensuring they are ready to respond effectively to emergencies and contribute meaningfully to their communities. The initiative also complements the office’s support for the Antique Training and Assessment Institute (ATAI), established under Provincial Ordinance No. 2020-223, which serves as the province’s premier hub for competency-based training and assessment.
Through ATAI, the OPDRRMO institutionalizes standardized, high-quality programs aimed at developing highly skilled responders, dedicated volunteers, and public servants committed to community safety and resilience.
Together, BOYET and ATAI embody the OPDRRMO’s mission to transform communities into self-reliant, disaster-ready partners in progress.
