Aiko Melendez and Onemig Bondoc seemingly confirmed they’re already in a relationship, though they hinted they would share more details about their developing romance in the coming days.
The former actor asked Melendez outright if she was willing to be his girlfriend in a YouTube vlog on Friday, February 6, while on vacation at the Haya Nature Resort in Zambales.
“Maganda ang beach (The beach is nice), and you can really enjoy it, lalo na sa couples like us. Tama ba (Am I right)?” Bondoc said while he slung his arm around Melendez’s back. The actress said “yes” in response.
Bondoc then asked Melendez, “Hon, what can you say… will you be my girlfriend?”
The actress laughed in response, adding, “Positive na ‘yan, nasagot ko na (It’s positive, I answered your question already).”
The “Jologs” star also asked Melendez if she’s willing to marry him. The actress said she’ll respond to him in a separate vlog.
On Instagram, the former actor shared a photo and clips of himself and Melendez being affectionate at a beach, which appeared to be at the same resort.
“Abangan (Coming soon)! A film by Ronald Gu Yo,” he captioned his post.
Bondoc and Melendez have been close for 29 years and would often hang out with mutual friends outside of work. However, in a January 2026 vlog, they said people close to them had noticed an attraction between them.
The former actor confirmed in the same month that he is romantically pursuing Melendez.
Meanwhile, Melendez’s son Andre expressed his support for his mom’s romance with the former actor in a media con for his new series “Hell University,” and that he has given them his blessing. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
