ILOILO City – Two people facing estafa and obstruction of justice charges have been arrested, police reports showed.

Melanie Pregua, 49, of Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo was charged with estafa. District police caught her in her house at around 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday and detained her at their station.

The court set the bail bond for her temporary liberty at P6,000.

On the same night, at around 10:30, Rodgie Rosario, 40, of Barangay Asluman, Carles, Iloilo was arrested in Barangay Poblacion.

Rosario, charged with obstruction of justice, was detained at the municipal police station. The court set his bail at P12,000.

It was not immediately clear as of this writing if the suspects have posted bail./PN
