ILOILO City – It was not yet immediately known what exactly killed Nieljohn Cataluna of Barangay West Timawa, Molo district.
When his live-in partner, Ilyn Nieles, checked on him on Wednesday morning, he was cold and no longer breathing, she told the police.
All Nieles could remember was Cataluna, 37, slept drunk.
Cataluna was taken to the Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital but an attending physician pronounced him dead at 8:45 a.m., a police report showed.
Nieles told the police Cataluna arrived home drunk at 12 midnight. He slept, woke up at around 3 a.m. and went back to sleep, she said./PN
