ASIALINK and UK Sports Juniors remained unbeaten in the Iloilo Basketball Club Association (IBCA) Invitational League in Iloilo City.
Behind the hot shooting of Jake Fuertes, Cedie Eraga, Ian Doce, Bryan Andrade, and Ian largo, Asialink cruised to its fourth consecutive win with a 93-63 rout of MBC Snipers on Friday at the Barangay Zamora gym.
“Pinaghandaan namin ang game na ito because we are hearing na minamaliit ang team namin dahil puro bata raw,” said Asialink team manager Philip Punzalan.
“This win is a testament that we can keep in step even with a veteran-laden team like Snipers,” Punzalan stressed.
UK Sports Juniors also maintained its immaculate slate in the league with an 84-50 victory against Crossword.
The IBCA Invitational League serves as qualifier to the Champions Cup of the Panay Sports Association.
In another match, UK Sports Basketball Club recovered from its first defeat after a close 70-62 win over Legaspi Ballers.
At the end of the games, Asialink stayed on top with 4-0 followed by UK Sports Juniors (3-0), MBC Snipers (2-1), UK Sports Basketball Club (2-1), Legaspi Ballers (1-2), JRH Eagles (0-1), Pitbull City Proper (0-2), and Crossword (0-4)./PN
