ATENEO de Iloilo Football Club claimed the championship in the boys division of the 3rd Ati-Atihan Futsal Cup at the Aklan Catholic College covered gym in Kalibo, Aklan.
Led by tournament Most Valuable Player Lim Ramos and Best Goalkeeper Roni Panes, Ateneo de Iloilo took home the championship after defeating Janiuay United FC in a tightly contested gold medal match on Jan. 6.
Iloilo Christian School FC salvaged a bronze medal in the tournament after downing San Agustin Iloilo FC.
Other teams in the boys division were New Lucena NCHS FC, Aklan Valley High School, Kalibo Sakeros ACC, Manoc-manoc High School FC, and Boracay Island Global Academy FC.
Organized by Kalibo Sakeros FC in partnership with the festival organizer Kasafi and the local government of Kalibo, the Ati-Atihan Futsal Cup also featured a girls division, the games under which were still being played as of this writing./PN
