Prices of locally produced rice have started to trend upward as of Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The Department of Agriculture Region 6 attributes this movement primarily to the rise in palay buying prices, which currently range from P20 to P23 per kilogram for wet palay and P26 to P28 per kilogram for dry.
