ILOILO City – Accused of snatching a backpack, a resident of Arevalo district was arrested and detained, a police report showed.
Rosebel Nisnisan, 20, was hauled to the Police Station 1 custodial facility.
Baby Boy Octavio, 37, of Zone 1, Barangay Calumpang, Molo reported to the police that Nisnisan grabbed his black backpack on Quezon Street, City Proper and ran away.
Octavio and a police officer arrested the suspect on De Leon Street after a brief chase, a police report showed.
The backpack contained a Philip screwdriver, a flat screwdriver and P4,000 cash.
Everything was in the recovered bag – except for the cash, police said.
Police have yet to determine where the cash went as of this writing.
