Bacolod City – Members of the city council here urged top-ranking officials of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) to appear before the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) in relation to the city’s peace and order situation.
Councilor Wilson Gamboa Jr. authored a resolution requesting BCPO director Colonel Henry Biñas and BCPO deputy director for operations Lieutenant Colonel Jovie Espenido to brief the SP about the string of killings and drug-related crimes.
The BCPO’s inputs, according to Gamboa, can help the city council formulate ordinances addressing peace and order concerns.
As of this writing, the city council wais yet to set the schedule for the appearance of the BCPO officials./PN
