BACOLOD City – Two men ganged up on a laborer and fatally stabbed him in Barangay Bacong, Bago City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
The 32-year-old resident Libert Ojano sustained stab wounds on the back and chest after Mamerto De La Cruz and a certain “Junel” attacked him while he was on his way home around 7 p.m. on Monday, the report further showed.
De La Cruz and Junel fled after the stabbing.
Police found Ojano unconscious lying face down in the village later that night.
Ojano was rushed to the Bago City Hospital around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
Bago City police have yet to locate the suspects and determine the motive in the stabbing./PN
