BCPO deploys over 1,000 personnel for Undas

BACOLOD City — The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will deploy 1,034 security personnel and force multipliers to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

The deployment, led by BCPO City Director Police Col. Eugene N. Rebadomia, aims to strengthen police visibility, prevent criminal activities, and provide immediate assistance to residents and visitors during Undas 2026.

Of the total deployment, 506 are Philippine National Police personnel, while the rest comprise other government uniformed personnel, force multipliers, intelligence personnel, and Regional Special Operations Force personnel.

Security personnel will be stationed at public and private cemeteries, memorial parks, columbaria, bus terminals, seaports, motorist assistance centers, and other strategic locations where large crowds are expected to gather.

In a statement, the BCPO said police assistance desks and assistance hubs will also be established to help cemetery visitors, tourists, and returning residents.

Police will intensify patrols and checkpoint operations, conduct security screening when necessary, and coordinate with local government units, barangay officials, and partner agencies to ensure a peaceful and orderly observance.

The BCPO reminded the public to observe local ordinances, including restrictions on firearms and deadly weapons, alcoholic beverages, gambling, and loud music in cemeteries.

Residents were also urged to remain vigilant, secure their personal belongings, follow traffic advisories, and immediately report suspicious activities to the nearest police officer or assistance desk.

Those planning to leave their homes to visit cemeteries or travel during the holiday period were advised to lock their doors and windows, secure valuables, and ensure that electrical appliances are safely switched off when appropriate.

Rebadomia said the deployment is part of the BCPO’s efforts to protect Bacolod residents and visitors and prevent untoward incidents during one of the year’s busiest holiday periods./PN
