BCPO encourages public to report e-sabong

BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is encouraging residents to report to police hotlines activities involving electronic cockfighting, or e-sabong.

Police Colonel Noel Aliño, acting BCPO director, presented the e-sabong hotlines to Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez at the Bacolod City Government Center on Monday, April 24.

Aliño said all hotlines are serviceable and ready to receive reports through call or text.

Benitez hailed the initiative.

Also on Monday, Aliño handed over to the city mayor the drug test results of 43 commissioned police officers.

All, including Aliño, underwent the drug test last week. They all tested negative for illegal drug use.

The drug test was conducted by the BCPO in line with the Internal Cleansing Program of the Police Regional Office 6 and Benitez’s order to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs./PN
