ILOILO City – Around 1,000 Filipinos surnamed Catedral – including those closely related to one by blood or affinity – have studied at the Central Philippine University (CPU) here.
They are welcome to come back to the CPU campus tomorrow (Saturday) for reunion, fellowship lunch and registration of members of the newly-organized Catedral Centralian Clan (CCC).
The highlight of the day-long activity is the CCC’s induction of officers at the university’s Educational Management Center, with Engr. Isagani Jalbuena (president of CPU Alumni Association, Inc.) as inducting officer.
The Catedral Centralian Clan has elected as its president Dr. Glenn A. M. Catedral, retired first Dean of the CPU College of Medicine.
The other officers are:
* Vice President – Dr. Lejo Catedral Brańa, founder of CPU’s Packaging Engineering course
* Treasurer – Dr. Adah Grace M. Catedral, practicing ultrasound specialist
* Secretary – Dr. Juanito M. Catedral Acanto, former CPU president
* Business Manager – Engr. Ruben M. Catedral Armadillo, head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, CPU
* Archivist/Historian – Betty Catedral Ermitaño, CPU Elementary School faculty member
* Public Relation Officer – Charlett Catedral Dianala, CPU High School faculty member.
* Board of Directors – Atty. Ernesto Catedral, former vice governor, South Cotabato; Dr. Isagani Catedral, president, Philippine Cotton Industry; General Leonardo Catedral Magno, retired Philippine Air Force general; Dr. Francis Fred Catedral, doctor of Chemistry, Canada; Matt Catedral Palabrica, former mayor, Bingawan, Iloilo; Mark Catedral Palabrica, mayor, Bingawan, Iloilo; Ellery Catedral Gaje, vice mayor, Badiangan, Iloilo; Erwin Rey Catedral Gaje, vice mayor, Badiangan, Iloilo; Evaline Rose A.
