ILOILO City – With their new Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) building, policemen here should be motivated to perform better, according to Chief Superintendent Cesar Hawthorne Binag, director of the Police Regional Office 6.

The P13-million two-storey building was inaugurated last week.

“Raise the standard and quality of your service to the community. People deserve good police service,” Binag told city policemen.

He described the new ICPO building “world-class.”

“This model city police station project is a major undertaking to win back our people’s trust, confidence and support. More than just upgrading our offices and police equipment, it is about improving the way we serve people in the city,” said Binag.

The budget for the new building came from the Philippine National Police’s Trust Receipt Fund.

The building houses ICPO’s Administrative Office, Strategic Management Office, Evidence Room, Intelligence Room, Interrogation Room, Supply Room, Finance Section, Traffic Investigation Office, and Office of the City Director, among others./PN
