ILOILO City – Two residents of Barangay Poblacion, Banate, Iloilo were facing illegal gambling charges.
Jojie Bebing, 20, and Rannie Defra, 19, were caught soliciting bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies,” police said.
Gambling paraphernalia and P250 bet money were seized from them.
Bebing and Defra may be charged with violation of Republic Act 9287.
They were taken to the Banate police station after their arrest around 6:20 p.m. on June 3./PN
