BORACAY Island in Malay, Aklan was named as among the world’s top islands in the 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards of luxury travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler (CNT).
The world-class island ranked fourth place. Palawan and Siargao also joined the Asia list, placing fifth and seventh places, respectively, along with other popular beach destinations such as Phú Quốc in Vietnam and Phuket in Thailand.
The survey results, based on votes cast by the magazine’s readers in the United Kingdom, were published on CNT’s website on October 7.
According to the website, Boracay made it to the “Top Islands: Readers’ Choice Awards 2025” with a score of 90.54. Palawan bested Bali, Indonesia, with 90.23 points, while the surfing island haven of Siargao secured 85.49 points.

In September this year, Discovery Boracay was recognized as among the best in Asia.
The resort was recognized at the DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2025 as one of the Best Hotels in the Philippines and was named among Travel + Leisure’s Top 500 Hotels.
Meanwhile, visitor arrivals in Boracay reached 117,189 last month, according to the Malay-Boracay Tourism Office.
From September 1 to 30, data showed that a total of 100,962 domestic tourists visited the island, 15,345 were foreign nationals, and 882 were overseas Filipinos workers or overseas Filipinos. (With a report from the Philippine News Agency)/PN
