ILOILO City – A drunken man was arrested for creating alarm and scandal.
Jun-jun Canillo of Barangay Kauswagan, City Proper was throwing empty liquor bottles, police said.
Barangay tanods (village watchmen) Ronald Bermudo and Rudy Chua placed him under citizen arrest around 10:40 p.m. Thursday.
But while they were trying to pacify Canillo, the latter punched Bermudo on the face.
Bermudo was referred to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro district for the treatment of his injury.
Canillo was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 1./PN
