
BACOLOD City – Four persons were caught while gambling in Barangay 1, a police report showed.
They were the 39-year-old Rico Velasquez, 35-year-old Renato Parreño, 22-year-old Joar Robles, and 32-year-old Ronnie Elijay, all residents of the village, the report further stated.
They were arrested while playing the game bug-oy around 12 a.m. on Wednesday.
Recovered from their possession were six sea shells and P203 gambling money, police said.
Velasquez, Parreño, Robles, and Elijay were detained at the Police Station 2 custodial facility.
They were facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling./PN
