BACOLOD City – A man fatally stabbed another while they were having a drinking binge in Barangay 6, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.
The 26-year-old Benjie Ebaning surrendered to the Kabankalan City police after stabbing Nimrod Dinsag, 47, on Oct. 15, a police report showed.
Ebaning and Dinsag were from Barangay San Miguel, Maramag, Bukidnon.
They were working at the Mackay Green Energy, Inc. charcoal facility in Kabankalan City.
Kabankalan City police chief Superintendent Rhea Santos said Ebaning and Dinsag had an argument before the stabbing occurred.
The incident happened at around 8 p.m.
Dinsag sustained stab wounds on the neck and on the different parts of the body, the report stated.
Dinsag was rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City where he was declared “dead on arrival.”/PN
