BACOLOD City – Three suspects fired at a former barangay tanod on Rizal-Lopez Jaena Street in Barangay 27.

Police Station 4 Chief Inspector Richee Gohee identified the victim as the 43-year-old resident Jemar Villanueva.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Oct. 14, a police report showed.

Villanueva was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital where he was pronounced “dead on arrival.”

Villanueva sustained gunshot wounds on the body, the report stated.

Gohee said they identified one of the gunmen as “Bonbon.”

The identity of the two other suspects was still unknown, police said.

Gohee said the suspects told Villanueva to buy them five sachets of shabu, which the latter failed to do.

Police Station 4 was still identifying and locating the suspects./PN
