CEBU City – Several groups urged the government to bury the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. at the Inayawan landfill.
In a candle-lighting ceremony at the University of the Philippines Cebu, protesters condemned the Supreme Court decision to allow Marcos’ burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
According to them, the late strongman deserves to be buried under mounds of trash.
Marcos must be buried under garbage after what he has done during martial law, said Sanlakas secretary-general Teoddie Navea.
The former president died in exile in the United States in 1989, three years after a popular revolt ousted him from power. (ABS-CBN News)
