ILOILO City – A 58-year-old man got electrocuted while cutting off tree branches in Barangay Ayaman, Cabatuan, Iloilo.

Joel Nepamuceno was working on a lot owned by a certain “Attorney Garcia” around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday when he accidentally touched a live wire of the Iloilo I Electric Cooperative, said the police.

Cabatuan Emergency Responders rescued Nepamuceno and rushed him to the Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in the town, but the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival” around 4:30 p.m.

The victim sustained burns on the left arm and right leg./PN
