SAN JOSE, Antique – Gov. Rhodora Cadiao said Vice Gov. Edgar Denosta has her “complete trust” even the latter was accused of spreading text messages regarding her suspension due to a graft charge.

Cadiao said she does not believe that the text messages were sent from Denosta’s phone.

“We are now having the incident investigated,” Cadiao said.

The text messages contained Denosta vowing to lead a corrupt-free government in the province.

According to Cadiao, Denosta informed her about the controversial text messages via phone call last week when she was in Manila to attend a forum of the National Nutrition Council.

Cadiao said their political detractors hacked Denosta’s phone and sent the text messages, thus “misleading Antiqueños.”

Cadiao added that the action was due to desperation of their political enemies.

The governor also appealed to the person/s behind the spread of the text messages to stop sabotaging her good relationship with Denosta.

She suggested that they must rather help in strengthening the province’s economy. (PNA/PN)
