BACOLOD City – A man was stabbed dead in Barangay Mabini, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
The 24-year-old resident Jeky Gabayeron, who sustained a stab wound on the back, was found lifeless by his father Renato, a police report showed.
Police only identified the suspect as certain “Bonbon Bayawa.”
According to Renato, he saw Jeky and Bayawa having a drinking spree prior to the incident.
Renato found his son dead around 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 26. But the motive in the stabbing was not immediately established.
Officers of the Cadiz City police station conducted a manhunt operation against Bayawa, who fled after the incident./PN
