BACOLOD City – A 56-year-old man was stabbed and hacked to death in Barangay Luna, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as resident Ronilo Fernandez.
Tagged suspect was 42-year-old resident Samson Batacandolo, a police report showed.
Batacandolo – who was believed to be drunk – allegedly attacked Fernandez during a heated argument around 9:45 p.m. on Dec. 21. But it was not immediately established what caused the altercation.
Fernandez died of hack and stab wounds on the body.
Batacandolo, who also sustained a hack wound on the body, was brought to the Cadiz District Hospital for medical treatment.
Officers of the Cadiz City police station were investigating the incident./PN
