BACOLOD City – Three persons were wounded when at least 10 bonnet-wearing armed men fired at them outside the barangay hall of Macasilao in Calatrava, Negros Occidental.

Jury Mag-upa, 22; Albert Bocar, 20; and Rodrigo Iwayan, 24, all residents of the village, were binge-drinking when attacked, said Chief Inspector John Joel Batusbatusan, Calatrava police chief.

They sustained gunshot wounds on the bodies. They were rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital.

Barangay Macasilao was celebrating its annual fiesta at the time.

The suspects fled toward unknown directions after the shooting around 11 p.m. on April 22.
