BACOLOD City – A man was found dead in Barangay Bandila, Toboso, Negros Occidental.
The 32-year-old Jomar Alibutdan of Barangay Winaswasan, Calatrava sustained gunshot wounds on the head, a police report showed.
According to police investigators, Alibutdan was driving a truck loaded with sugarcane along with his helper when they were flagged down by eight assailants clad in bonnets around 8 a.m. on April 2.
A few minutes later, the suspects fired at Alibutdan after they ordered the victim’s helper to flee.
As of this writing, officers of the Toboso municipal police station have yet to identify the suspects but are looking into grudges and land dispute as the motive in the shooting./PN
