ILOILO City – A call center agent and a taxi driver face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Around 9:30 p.m. in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district over the weekend, an undercover police officer of the Molo district police station bought from the suspects a sachet of shabu worth P3,000.
Fermin Paolo Rodriguez, the 31-year-old call center agent, and Oswald Carl Shariff Escudero, 32, the taxi driver, were detained at the Mandurriao police station.
Twenty-one more sachets were recovered. These were valued at P63,000.
“We transacted with them in Molo district but they told us the deal would be completed in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao,” said Senior Inspector Marlon Valencia, Molo police chief.
Citing intelligence information, Valencia said the suspect started trafficking shabu last year.
“They used taxi to deliver orders,” said Valencia.
From what the police so far gathered, the suspects’ supply came from Bacolod City./PN
