ROXAS City – From March to July 16, a total of 249 grams of shabu were seized in drug operations conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the local police in Capiz.
Senior Superintendent Samuel Nacion, director of Capiz police, said this in a security briefing organized by the Capiz Association of Government Public Information Officers, Inc. and the Philippine Information Agency.
The confiscated shabu is valued around P1.5 million.
“If these illegal drugs have not been confiscated, they will surely be consumed,” Nacion said.
There were at least 35 operations conducted by the Roxas City police station, the Capiz Police Provincial Office records showed.
High value and street level drug personalities were the targets of the operations, Nacion said.
Eleven high value and 53 street level targets were arrested in the province during the Oplan Double Barrel Reloaded.
The briefing was attended by representatives of hotels, malls, school administrators, security heads, among others. (PIA/PN)
