Capiz logs 5 dengue cases

CAPIZ – This province already logged five cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the first week of 2023, from Jan. 1 to 7.

The data is 28.57 percent lower than the seven cases recorded during the same period last year, based on the Provincial Dengue Case Bulletin released by the Provincial Health Office (PHO).

It further showed that two of these five cases are from Roxas City, and one case each from Cuartero, Jamindan and Panit-an.

Most of the cases belong to the five to nine years old age group.

The PHO is continuously reminding the public to observe the 4S strategies to avoid dengue infection. These include searching and destroying the mosquito breeding places; securing self-protection from a mosquito bite; seeking early consultation; and saying yes to fogging in areas with clustering of cases./PN
