ILOILO City – Two cashiers were accused of stealing cash from a barbeque restaurant in a mall on Luna Street, La Paz district.
The whereabouts of the 22-year-old Jinky Consejo and the 24-year-old Roldan Loyokan remained unknown as of this writing, a police report said.
Papsy’s BBQ staffers were inventorying their sales around 9 p.m. on May 28 when they discovered that they were short of P8,000, supervisor Romel Pradilla told the police.
Citing his own investigation, Pradilla said he found out that Consejo and Loyokan were the ones who took the cash, the police report said.
Moreover, a kitchen crew member, 25-year-old Norberto Sollano, said the suspects tried to connive with him in taking the cash, but he refused to cooperate. He advised the cashiers not to do it, but they did not listen, police said.
Consejo was a resident of Barangay Bolo, Maasin, Iloilo while Loyokan was from Barangay San Roque, Tapaz, Capiz, the police report showed./PN
