BACOLOD City – A man was arrested after he failed to show permit to transport lumber in Barangay Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Police identified him as 37-year-old Danilo Canson of Barangay Inayawan, Cauayan.
Canson, driving a truck loaded with 2000 board feet of coconut lumber valued at around P38,000, was nabbed around 1 p.m. on Feb. 24, a police report showed.
He was placed under the custody of the Philippine Coconut Authority, while the vehicle and the lumber were in possession of the Cauayan municipal police station./PN
