BACOLOD City – One of the charges in your electric bill will increase.
Starting this month, the Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) will collect P0.183 per kilowatt hour (kWh) for the Feed-In Tariff Allowance, or the FIT-ALL.
This is a slight increase from its previous charge of P0.124 per kWh.
FIT-ALL is a universal electric charge billed to member-consumers. It is extended to renewable energy firms to boost investments in renewable energy sources.
The Energy Regulatory Commission directed the increase under Case No. 2015-216, which allowed the National Transmission Corp. to gather an additional P0.0590 per kWh for the FIT-ALL, explained Ceneco general manager Sulpicio Lagarde Jr.
The generation, transmission and system loss charges, including the FIT-ALL, are the power suppliers and transmission providers’ pass-through charges to Ceneco, said Lagarde./PN
