BACOLOD City – Charged with child abuse, a man was nabbed on San Pedro Street, Janiuay, Iloilo.
Police identified him as 20-year-old John Mark Jaligue, a resident of the village.
Jaligue was caught around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Gemalyn Faunillo-Tarol of the Regional Trial Court Branch 76.
Jaligue was facing a charge for violation of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Janiuay municipal police station.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
