BACOLOD City – The 13-16 Wesley Church in Purok Katumbal, Barangay 5 was robbed yesterday around 11:49 a.m.
A suspect was arrested – Aris Puerto of Homesite Subdivision, Barangay Villamonte.
A security guard of a nearby establishment caught Puerto on 23rd Lacson Street.
The guard got suspicious and decided to take the suspect down after seeing bystanders chasing Puerto.
Recovered from Puerto were a chainsaw, digital cameras, P53 and personal belongings. He was detained at Police Station 2.
Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias said there was a witness to the robbery. Julie Ann Yanguas saw the suspect enter the church, he said./PN
