BACOLOD City – A teenager was declared “dead on arrival” in a hospital. He was beaten to death.

Around 1:30 a.m. yesterday 19-year-old Joemarie Garcia was strolling along the Reclamation Area when he was attacked by five unidentified men, police said.

Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias of Police Station 2 said the victim’s girlfriend April Mabilla, 18, of Barangay 16, met her barkadas then left Garcia at the place where the incident happened.

Garcia, who was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, was hit in the head and had three stab wounds on the body.

The police believe personal grudges or misunderstanding could be one of the reasons for the crime.

As of this writing, the suspects remained unidentified./PN
