CLMMRH under intra-facility COVID-19 outbreak

BACOLOD City – The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in this city declared an intra-facility outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) following the increase in average daily cases in the facility.

Medical Center chief Julius Drilon said the positivity rate of COVID-19 in this city and the province of Negros Occidental has been increasing since April.

“Medyo nagadamo ang positivity rate, including ang healthcare workers,” said Drilon.

The facility records a positivity rate of around four workers daily, he added.

The CLMMRH has again activated its COVID protection protocols.

“I believe it’s community transmission,” the doctor added. “The protocols for infection control are in effect; amo ina napangabay namun sa inyo nga mag-andam.”

Based on the COVID-19 Regional Case Bulletin of the Department of Health, as of Tuesday, May 23, Bacolod City had 84 active cases of which seven were new cases.

Data further showed that Negros Occidental had 477 active cases, with 10 new cases./PN
