ILOILO City – A construction worker died. His motorcycle crashed against a van in Barangay Balabago, Jaro district.
Joseph Santillan, 28, was a resident of Barangay Dungon C, Mandurriao district.
According to the police, the victim was homebound around 7 p.m. on May 2.
He overtook another motorcycle but hit the van running the opposite direction, a closed circuit television footage showed.
Santillan was rushed to the West Visayas State University Medical Center where he expired.
Meanwhile, van driver Joel Deroa, 30, of Bo. Obrero, La Paz district was not arrested. CCTV footage showed that the victim was the one who hit the van, according to investigators./PN
