ROXAS City – A police officer was accused of pointing a gun at two individuals in Barangay Bato in this city.
Complainants tricycle driver Honeyboy Billoso, 44, of Barangay Tanza Sur, Panay, Capiz, and collector Don Arbolado, 35, of Barangay Mongpong here, identified the cop as Staff Sergeant Joemar Barrera assigned at Roxas City Police Station.
According to Billoso, he was about to buy in a sari-sari store when the police officer suddenly approached him and pointed a gun at him last week.
The police officer then crossed the road and pointed a gun at Arbolado who was sitting on a motorcycle.
Lieutenant Colonel Francisco Paguia, chief of the Roxas City Police Station, said Barrera was temporarily relieved from their station. Investigation on the incident was still ongoing as of this writing.
He confirmed that the said police officer was drunk when the incident happened./PN
