ROXAS City – Police were searching for the village chief of the upland barangay of Maalan in Maayon, Capiz.
The 63-year-old Henry Deocampo shot his son, 23-year-old Henlo, a volunteer for the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team.
The father and son had an altercation while binge-drinking around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
The heated exchange caused the older Deocampo to shoot his son several times using an unknown caliber of firearm.
Luckily the younger Deocampo sustained only a gunshot wound on the left arm. He was taken to the Bailan District Hospital.
His father fled after the incident. Officers from the Maayon police station were trying to find as of this writing./PN
