KALIBO, Aklan – Police were looking into two “persons of interest” in the killing of an eight-year-old girl in Libacao, Aklan.
On Oct. 27, the decomposing body of Grade 3 pupil Chrisha Nobleza was found near a river in Barangay Guadalupe, Libacao, police said.
Nobleza went missing on Oct. 24, father Eriel said.
Eriel reported to the police on Oct. 25. He and his relatives went searching for Nobleza and discovered the latter’s boy three kilometers away from their residence in Barangay Julita, Libacao.
Nobleza was found not wearing underwear, police said.
Police believed that Nobleza and her killer/s knew each other.
The police also said Nobleza could have been killed in Barangay Julita and was dumped in Barangay Guadalupe.
“Mabait na bata si Chrisha. Pumapasok sa iskul kahit walang baon. Pangarap niya maging titser paglaki,” said Genalyn, Nobleza’s mother, who went home on Oct. 28 from Metro Manila, where she is working as a housekeeper.
Genalyn added, “Siya na halos ang tumatayong pangalawang nanay sa mga kapatid niya. Masunurin at magaling din siya sa klase nila.”
Meanhwile, Mayor Charito Navarosa raised the P50,000 reward to P60,000 for anyone who can give a lead to the identity of the suspect/s. (Aklan Forum Journal/PN
