ILOILO City – The police of Sigma, Capiz were hunting a councilman of Barangay Capuyhan, Sigma, Capiz for the shooting of a barangay tanod.
Ritchie Martinez disappeared from the barangay on Wednesday night.
The shooting victim, 48-year-old Lodegario Martinez Jr., was taken to the Mambusao District Hospital but later transferred to the Capiz Emmanuel Hospital in Roxas City. He had a gunshot wound on the torso.
The shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. Martinez was on his way home. He was driving a motorcycle.
It remained unclear as of this writing why Martinez was attacked./PN
