ROXAS City – Police arrested a couple in an illegal drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Baybay here.
Suspected shabu worth P108,000 were seized from Jerry and Eden Billoso, 48 and 41 years old, respectively.
Barangay Captain Reynaldo Magallanes lamented that the police did not coordinate with any Baybay village official or invite them to witness the operation.
“Wala gid nila kami gin-inform,” Magallanes told Panay News.
Superintendent Dante Tayco, city police chief, said an official from Barangay 1 served as their witness.
“Ang una nga transaction natabo sa Barangay 1 kag sa Barangay Baybay nadayon ang drug bust,” he told Panay News. “Any elected official maka-witness man.”

Operatives staged the buy-bust at around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
An undercover officer bought from the suspects a plastic pack of suspected shabu for P1,000, police said.
Eight more sachets of the same substance, a cellphone, an empty cigarette pack, and the P1,000 marked money were seized from the suspects.
The Billosos were detained in the lockup facility of the Roxas City police station.
They face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
