Court denies bail to drug suspects

BACOLOD City – Two drug personalities on Tuesday were arrested and were denied bail by the court.
Janno Covacha, 24, a resident of Justicia Street, Barangay 1, Poblacion, Pontevedra town, Negros Occidental was arrested by police operatives for violating section 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
During his arrest, the police confiscated three small sachets of suspected shabu from his possession.
Judge Cyclamen Jison-Fernandez of the Regional Trial court, Branch 63 in La Carlota City issued his arrest warrant dated Aug. 25, 2016.
Meanwhile, another person was denied bail by the court after his arrest in Tani Homes in Magsaysay Street, Barangay Zone 12-A, Talisay City.
Superintendent Adonis Rosales identified the suspect as Randy Panila, 40, a resident of Rizal Street, Barangay Zone 9, Talisay City.
Judge Raymond Joseph Javier of the Regional Trial Court in Talisay City issued the arrest warrant dated Nov. 10, 2015./PN
